Baccoli 2009 Calendar

Fall in the Veneto is the time for harvest festivals, winemaking and truffles. The climate is mild with temperatures in the 50's at night and 60's-70's during the day. When winter arrives it still stays comfortable (40's at night and 50's-60's during the day). Snow is a rarity at the lake, but a short drive into the mountains can put you into prime ski conditions. Airfares are averaging around $600-$700 RT from New York including taxes and fees.

Ben venutti a Baccoli di Sotto

Baccoli di Sotto is a converted farm building from the 16th century, in the Veneto region of Italy. The original building was a carriage house, which was gutted and completely renovated into a group of 2 bedroom loft apartments.

Located a short distance from the resort town of Peschiera del Garda, Baccoli is convenient to the lake district, as well as the cities of Verona, Milan, Venice, Bergamo and Bologna.

The apartment features a master bedroom on the upper level with a king sized bed, tile floors and rustic wood ceiling with exposed beams.

A second bedroom, located on the main level, is furnished with a pair of twin sized bunk beds.

The living room features a pullout sofa, and is stocked with reading material (mostly cookbooks and regional travel info). There is also Wi-Fi internet service available.

The spacious bathroom is equipped in typical European fashion, with toilet, bidet and a tiled shower stall.

The apartment features a small but well equipped kitchen, including a four burner gas range, oven with broiler and all the basic kitchen gadgets.

The dining room table seats 4 to 6 comfortably.

There is a charcoal bbq for outdoor grilling, and an electric drip coffee pot for those who don't do the espresso thing.
